A Pain in the Ice

Bad pun, yes I know. North and East Texas have finally been included in the ice storms plaguing the country. There are people without heat and power. There are some people stranded while traveling. I'm sure there are people who might even die. Me... I like cold weather. The only problem it's giving me is that I had to miss "Mary, Queen of Scots" in Dallas last night. I could have gotten there just fine, but I may not have made it home the next morning. That possibility meant that my wife would not be able to enjoy the performance; she would have been thinking all the while about the weather and whether we would get back OK. For a serious believer in the existential nature of life, she sure worries a lot. Gotta go drip the outside faucets now. ;)
